The Kottukapally Plantation Home

Pala, Kerala

Bed & Breakfast

Property Number: 107KER

Experience life as a colonial plantation owner. The property is owned by the son of a parliamentarian from the Jawaharlal Nehru government, the first government of independent India. The bungalow has recently been tastefully refurbished to a high standard, and is situated in the rolling foothills of the Western Ghats, in the middle of a 1,300 acre rubber plantation. It is 1.5km from the nearest village road and even features its own heli-pad.

Visits to local artisans, the rubber plantation, tea factory, churches and temples and a spice walk are all offered for only the price of transportation! See 'Specialities of the Home' on the left.

If you are looking for peace, quiet, and privacy you will not be disappointed. The area has some great trekking opportunities with a member of staff on hand to guide you. The chef specialises in Indo-British cuisine. You can also stay at the family's main residence where a range of classes and cultural programmes are available - see 'The Kottukapally Family Home' listed separately. A stay at either property includes full board/AP and a range of activities.
