The only way to truly appreciate the famous Kerala Backwaters is by jumping aboard a houseboat and enjoying a romantic leisurely cruise. These boats, or 'Kettuvalam' in Malayalam, are made with a centuries old technique that uses coir rope to bind the boats together without the use of a single nail. They are furnished to a high standard with modern amenities including air conditioning, comfortable en-suite bedrooms, and even modern fitted modular kitchens. You will be well looked after by your own Cook, Driver, and Caretaker. If you are coming to South India this is a treat you should definitely consider.

*In adherence with government guidelines the boat will anchor at 5.45 PM in the evening at the lakeshore.
Three houseboat staff will be present, providing the client security and privacy.

Example Itinerary
Kumarakom -01nights /02 days 01 night/02 days in a Houseboat
Day 1
- Reach at "Cheepunkal Bridge" at Kumarakom. (This is the place where our Associate Mr Shibuwill will be waiting and he will help you in the check in procedure)
- Reach "Cheepunkal Bridge"11.45AM.
- Check in Houseboat by 12.00 Noon
- Houseboat will cover Muhamma region, R-Block, C-Block, "Pathiramanal" Island, Thaneermukkam Bund - different regions of Vembanad.
- Evening cruise till 6PM and the boat will be anchored. (Government regulations insist all houseboats have to be moored by 18:00). (3 houseboat staff will be at the boat - although will not intrude on your privacy)
- Overnight at the HouseBoat / Kumarakom.
Day 2
- Cruise will start at 07:30AM.
- Cruise till 9.30AM.
- Checkout from the houseboat at 10.00AM.
